Andres Mendez

President & CEO

A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Andres Mendez has called Miami home for over 24 years. He began his career as a Graphic Designer at renowned agencies such as Walter Thompson, McCann Erickson, and NolckFisher America, working on projects for globally recognized brands like Coca-Cola, Ford, and Brahma Beer.

For over 7 years, Andres managed a design studio, overseeing the production department and specializing in large format printing, offset printing, and merchandise unit construction. He served important companies in the US and the Caribbean during this time.

Now, Andres leads his own studio, Koi Studio, providing solutions for a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to large corporations. Koi Studio is a rapidly growing boutique design studio and is becoming a significant player in the Miami community.

Katherine Malaga

Chief Operating Officer

With over 16 years of experience, Katherine Malaga brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Chief Operating Officer. She is responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects at Koi Studio, as well as assisting the CEO in driving the company’s aggressive and successful growth.

Katherine began her career at Pass Consulting, a technology firm, where she distinguished herself as an Operations Manager. In this role, she oversaw all marketing, sales, operational controls, administrative, and reporting procedures with precision and effectiveness.

Subsequently, Katherine transitioned to an advertising firm, where she served as an Account Supervisor. Here, she managed a diverse portfolio of clients including Western Union, DishLATINO, and Discovery en Español, demonstrating her ability to excel in client relations and strategic account management.
